A Dandy was a man that dressed, spoke, and acted in exaggeration. Exaggerated collars, lapel sizes, sleeve heads, buttons., etc. Sometimes the dandy was also a homosexual, and in that case, the men were called "Macaronies", the men might be called "Mollies", the clubs called "Molly Clubs".
